趁Chloe還在紐約, 去Lady M外帶了幾片蛋糕回來
他們最有名的應該就是現在台灣很紅的千層蛋糕(是現在嗎? 還是之前?)
不過當初我知道這家是看到New York Magazine的Best Cheesecake of 2006報導
一開他們的網頁整個開心的發現千層蛋糕
以前在微風B1的麵包店(不知道還在不在)買到的芒果千層蛋糕好吃的讓我心情很好
在美國一直以為這裡的甜點就是那些很開懷爽快的義大利蛋糕們
不像台灣走日氏精緻風格
發現Lady M真的讓我很歡樂 啦啦啦

Two main reasons why Chloe’s in NYC this week: 1. Harry Potter IMAX and 2. Yankee game for Chien- Ming Wang. (Sadly, I’m not in the list…) On Sunday, luckily, we got the tickets for Monday 5:00pm movie. (Monday 8:30pm sold out already!) When we arrived the auditorium at 4:10pm, it was almost packed. People were all very excited about the movie apparently. When the show finally started people were clapping and cheering. Hahaha, that’s why I like to watch movies in New York. Fun experience! For the movie, the 3D fighting part was pretty cool. The casting for Luna was great; she’s just like what I imagined in the novel. Other parts were … you know, just like the rest of the Harry Potter movies. Anyhow, I was having fun with happy crowd~ =)

Today is the first day of NY Restaurant Week. I’ve been wanting to go to Spice Market for a long time, so I made a reservation 2 weeks ago to ensure a table.

The restaurant itself is really nice, it looks like a villa or resort in Bali Island. When I saw the waiter approach us with towels, I was expecting the hot towel like all the other restaurants. However, it was a freezing cold towel with ginger flavor. Nice!

Okay, their lunch menu for restaurant week is pretty disappointing. Basically it’s a bento box, a dessert and a drink. Man, who put the drink as one dish?! Normally restaurants will do an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. But anyway, I’m here. So we both ordered the bento box.

Something crispy, shrimpy with the spicy dipping sauce. We both like it.

自從搬來紐約之後 因為Mike公寓的烤箱壞掉一直沒機會作甜點
最近手很癢 加上上禮拜去Mitsuwa買了一小罐的抹茶粉
就來做一下免烤箱的甜點

材料:

• Heavy Cream 2 Cup (我是用Half half, 想說健康一點點
• Unsweetened Matcha Powder 1 tbs (這個其實隨意 我是都加蠻多的)
• Sugar 70g
• Milk 20g
• Gelatin 7g

Yesterday, July 10, was our 2-month anniversary. We enjoy our married life a lot. Mike took me to a raw bar restaurant – Lure in soho to celebrate it. Being married is great! =)

最近我們都在忙著找房子
這天星期天一大早跑去Brooklyn看了個很令人失望的房子
天氣非常的熱 馬路非常的大條 房子離mta又有一段
加上整個房子找不到一個是平坦的地板 房間只擺的下一張queen size的床吧
這樣的一房一廳在Brookyln出租竟然也要價一個月1995美金
真是很令人傷心

很難過的回到manhattan 又餓又累又渴又熱
我們原本想要去試試Mary’s Fish Camp
結果去到那竟然沒開
不過幸好在west village有很多很可愛的小餐館
就來了這家Extra Virgin

店裡感覺還漫可愛的
在窗台還有一排坐在戶外吃飯的人們
可是我們實在是太熱了就選了裡面的位置

假日中午只有供應Brunch 沒有另外的lunch menu
menu本身還漫小的

我點了個Oregano Roasted Chicken Sandwich (Avocado, tomato, pancetta, cucumber yogurt, grilled bread with salad)
